E S P A C I O S
E S P A C I O S:
Is a photography and filmmaking studio specializing in architecture, art, and interior design, founded by Andrés Cedillo in 2018. Our work begins long before the camera. We explore each space, understand its context, and discover the intention behind every design decision. From this process of observation, we create visual records that reveal the identity of a place, communicate its essence, and preserve its legacy.
Experience:
Since its founding, ESPACIOS has collaborated with architects, artists, cultural institutions, and hospitality brands that have shaped the contemporary landscape of architecture and design in Mexico. Our collaborators include Andrés Casillas, Archetonic, Bloqe Arquitectura, Colectivo C733, the Faculty of Architecture at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), FGP Atelier, Gaeta Springall Arquitectos, Javier Marín, Javier Senosiain, JSA, Lanza Atelier, LBR Arquitectos, Sordo Madaleno, The St. Regis Mexico City, Taller de Arquitectura Mauricio Rocha, Vertebral, and many others.
Alongside the documentation of contemporary architecture, an essential part of our practice has been dedicated to recording the legacy of modern Mexican architecture. Works by Luis Barragán, Félix Candela, Mario Pani, and Teodoro González de León are part of a visual archive that contributes to the preservation and dissemination of one of Mexico’s most significant architectural heritages.
Our Purpose:
Architecture shapes the way we experience the world. It also becomes part of a society’s cultural memory. At ESPACIOS, we believe every work of architecture deserves a visual record capable of preserving its essence beyond the passage of time. Every photograph and every film we create is intended to become a lasting document—one that communicates the identity of a project today while preserving its significance for future generations.
Our Principles:
Observe - Understand the space before photographing it.
Interpret - Represent architecture with honesty and respect.
Record - Create complete visual records that document the identity of every project.
Preserve - Contribute to the memory of architecture through images with lasting documentary value.
Endure - Create images that remain meaningful and relevant over time.
“Architecture is built with materials. Its memory is built with images”
